News from The Guildford Institute

We have some exciting news… both face to face and online tickets are now available for a number of our previously sold out art history courses with popular tutors Tammy Ellis, Ronnie Ireland and Daphne Jefferis!

Courses will take place in a range of formats, aiming to cater for all preferences. Tammy’s courses will be held online, whilst Ronnie’s will be hosted in a hybrid format (both online and face to face) and Daphne’s will take place at the Institute.

Our courses with increased face to face capacity will be moving to a bigger space in our building and we will continue to follow government guidance, including carrying out social distancing measures.

We are really pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for more people to enjoy our art history courses. They are always popular so you’ll have to be quick!

Keep an eye out as we plan to release our Autumn 2021 brochure next month!

We know that many of you have missed our printed brochure (we have too!) having moved to digital-only due to circumstances around Covid-19. The autumn term will see the return of our printed brochure. It will also still be available digitally, enabling you to view our programme in whichever way suits you best.

As ever, our autumn programme will be packed full of courses, workshops and talks to get involved in. From languages and literature to art history and architecture, we have plenty for you to look forward to!

We think it’s the perfect time to reveal our brochure cover – Birches by Yeside Linney. Largely self-taught, Yeside is predominately a landscape painter. She draws much of her inspiration from her local Surrey landscape, literature and travels. We love her stunning depiction of autumnal birch trees!
