As our spring term draws to a close, we would like to thank everyone who has taken part in our online courses, workshops and talks. Zoom has enabled us to reach more people with our activities and we hope our spring programme has provided some much-needed enjoyment during a challenging few months.

Please note, our staff team will be on annual leave from 1 – 7 April and will respond to any enquiries when we return to work on 8 April.

We are looking forward to starting our summer term, especially as we plan to welcome you back into our building from June onwards. If you haven’t already, take a look at our summer programme and discover what we have on offer!

On behalf of everyone at the Institute, we would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter.

Reopening our building

We are delighted to announce that we plan to open our doors again on Tuesday 1 June. After what will be nearly 6 months away from our Ward Street home, we can’t wait to return and welcome you back.

To begin with, the Institute’s primary opening hours will be Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 5pm, with some evening and weekend services available.

The safety and wellbeing of our members, volunteers, staff and visitors to the building, as always, remains of paramount importance to us. Upon reopening, we will continue to have a number of safety measures in place including a one-way system, increased cleaning routines and will request face coverings are worn in public spaces.

We will keep you updated on our reopening and further details will be announced in due course.
