Guildford Lions Club proudly announces a return to their calendar of charitable events, with Music in the Park; an outdoor concert and picnic taking place on the lawn of the historic National Trust property Hatchlands Park on Sunday 11th July 2021.


One and all are invited to bring a picnic and lay lazily on the lawn whilst being serenaded by the sound of live music performed into the evening. Open from 5.30 pm, friends and families are welcome to pull up a picnic blanket before a live music concert featuring opera, jazz, musical theatre and pop plays from the stage between 7 pm – 9 pm.


Returning to perform will be Andy Hart and the Voices Choir, joined by an outstanding line-up of musical talent, soon to be announced.


This charity event will be raising the valuable funds necessary to support local charity Cherry Trees who provide home from home specialist short breaks for children and young people with disabilities.


Tickets are priced at £25 for adults / Under 16’s FREE

  • Gazebos may be erected in a designated area.

 About Guildford Lions


Formed in 1967, Guildford Lions Club is a registered charity with a membership of circa 50 members, all volunteers working together to support the local community.  Through staging several fundraising events throughout the year, ALL Profits, without deduction, go to local people in need.  Working with various local charities, big and small, Guildford Lions Club also assist individuals in need by working with Social Services, Local Schools and other organisations.


Although fundraising has been problematic throughout the pandemic, through a number of online events and other initiatives, Guildford Lions have continued to support local Food Banks, Families & Individuals in dire need.  Additionally, Guildford Lions have sourced, refurbished and supplied laptops to deserving children along with 870 activity kits to 16 local schools.
