Surrey based model and songwriter Elena-Ramona has been confirmed a place in the finals of Ms Great Britain that will take place next February in Leicester.

Having suffered with anxiety, depression and issues with her weight from a young age, the model wishes that her entry into such a competition will inspire other hopefuls to follow their dreams and face their fears. She is also hoping her entry will spark a healthy body image movement and message.

Elena says:

“ I did not have a healthy relationship with myself growing up. In magazines and on tv I would see women representing my generation who I could not relate to, and it made me question my career path. I would love to be a role model and inspiration to anyone in that position now. I want to be the person that I needed when I was a child.
To win this competition would be an honour, however to be given the opportunity to get this far and raise awareness for such a current and important cause is a privilege”

Elena’s Sponsor Aveda says:

“Mary Ann Weeks Aveda Guildford is delighted to be supporting Elena in her quest for success at the Miss GB Final. We have really enjoyed sharing the Aveda brand with her, which is not only ethical, but also aligns with the forward thinking, strong minded women we see taking the stage in the Miss GB competition. Our mission is to provide Elena with a fabulous Mary Ann Weeks signature hairstyle, along with a full professional Aveda makeover
that makes her feel naturally confident, beautiful and fully assured she has chosen exceptionally well for her sponsors”
