For nearly 30 years, this famous author spent part of each year at his unmarried sisters’ home, The Chestnuts, where he died in 1898. On this walk you will see the buildings associated with him and hear how he spent his days writing, visiting and taking photographs.

Description: Theme walk – creative arts
► A short walk from Tunsgate, through the Castle grounds to finish down by the River Wey.

► Tunsgate Arch, High Street (opposite the Guildhall).
