Following the latest Government announcement that Surrey will enter Tier 3 from Saturday 19 December, we will sadly be closing our building today (Friday 18 December) at 5pm until further notice.
As always, the safety and wellbeing of our members, volunteers, staff and visitors to the building remains of paramount importance to us.
V Café will be closed from today. Nick and Ian have loved seeing many of you at the café and look forward to welcoming you back when it is possible to do so.
The Library and Archive will also be closed. If you have books that will soon become overdue, please do not worry about returning them for now. In the meantime, you can browse the Library’s online catalogue – you never know what you might discover!
During our closure, we will keep in regular contact through our e-newsletters, social media channels and website updates. We will continue to be here for you with our extensive range of courses and workshops planned for next term.
If you need to contact us during our closure, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, from Thursday 24 December – Monday 4 January this inbox will not be monitored as our staff team will be on annual leave. We will get back to you as soon as possible when we return to work on Monday 4 January.
We would like to thank each and every one of you for the incredible support we have received this year. It has been a challenging time for the Institute and without your understanding, patience (particularly adjusting to using Zoom!) and generosity (through new memberships, renewals and donations), we wouldn’t be in the position we are now.
We hope to welcome more of you back into our beloved building in 2021 and will continue with our online course offering. From everyone at the Institute, we wish you a Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you next year.
