Actor Will Barton surprised the crowds watching the Guildford Pancake Day races this morning by competing as Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre’s team!

This hilarious appearance came about due to Will Barton currently appearing as the prime minister in The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson, at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford until Saturday 29 February.

Boris took centre-stage in the pancake proceedings, soaking up the limelight by taking selfies with the public, following event PA, Eagle Radio’s Peter Gordon giving him a big shout-out.

Boris even got a photo with former Guildford MP, RT Hon Anne Milton, who will be participating in a political post-show talk at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre this evening with the cast in honour of the show.

The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre’s team came 2nd place in their race, which Boris hailed, “an absolute disgrace” and accused the winners of foul play.
